As Chief Financial Officer, Ryan serves as a strategic business partner to the executive leadership team and is responsible for ensuring the organization’s resources are allocated and properly aligned to generate incremental value for all stakeholders.
Ryan has a proven track record of driving financial and operational performance in healthcare. In his time at Shields, he’s helped lead all corporate transaction and capital market activities, as well as developing the strategic finance function, a critical piece of the organization that enables real-time insights on the growth and performance of each health system partner.
Before joining Shields, Ryan began his career in investment banking and private equity; predominately focusing on M&A and growth equity transactions with privately-owned companies. Ryan has a BSC in Finance from Virginia Tech and lives in Chicago with his wife.
